CODE:EDGE Dance Chronicles 2011

Studio Wu and Dance Atelier are proud to introduce CODE:EDGE Dance Chronicles 2011.

Schedule to run from August 2011, CODE:EDGE Dance Chronicles is a dance initiative targeted to all dance enthusiasts aged 9 to 17 years old. It is a learning experience embodied in the spirit of dance for community, charity and celebrations.

Venturing into the Creation of Capacity, CODE:EDGE Dance Chronicles presents itself with 3Cs – Commmunity, Charity and Celebrations.

• COMMUNITY

CODE:EDGE Dance Chronicles is availing itself to the tenets of National Education. Participants will be able to showcase their pieces in satellite National Day 2011 celebrations in the various CDCs.

The idea of Citizenship and Contribution is emphasized through their participation and also a Confidence Building exercise as they are exposed to a public platform.

• CHARITY

CODE:EDGE Dance Chronicles will provide a platform for participants to be a part of a worthy Charity Concert in benefit a cause.

Schedule to be held on September 10, 2011 at the Resort World Sentosa, the concert will engage participants in a Community Involvement Programme, fostering a spirit of Compassion and Caring.

• CELEBRATIONS

In CODE:EDGE Dance Chronicles, we are Creating Capacity for schools whose participants are a part of the event.

Towards the end of August and early September, schools will be in Celebration of ACES Day and Teachers’ Day. The ready pieces by the CODE:EDGE participants can be presented to their individual schools as part of their celebrations.

Participants will also be in a celebration of dance with our series of workshops by overseas instructors on September 11, 2011.
