Theatre Crew

Theatre Crew will explore the different aspects of theatre and the process leading up to a stage production. The participants will develop a basic understanding of the functions of the various roles that make up the production team to plan, conceptualise, co-ordinate and execute all aspects of a drama production, from casting to the production stages and rehearsals through to the final performance.

Actor/Actress

Actor/Actress brings to life characters created by playwrights. This module will train the participants in stage acting techniques focusing on realist methods derived from the work of Constantine Stanislavski. They will learn to act with emotional truth and believability under the guidance of a drama trainer. They will learn to act and dramatise a short performance in front of an audience in a theatre setting.

Playwright

Playwright devises a short script of various styles incorporating performance forms such as tableaux, body props, vox pop and narration. They will go through activities to better understand these forms. They will be provided with the challenges, knowledge and skills to initiate, research, discuss, negotiate, explore and analyse before developing a devised performance text reflecting issues concerning them or based on their observations of their everyday life and imagination.
