Leave Your Footprints Behind

Develop Your Study Skills Footprints

Study Hard & Smart.

The importance of study skills needs little elaboration. Many young people struggle with their academic studies in a performance driven meritocratic society. Some preserve on, some merely gave up without trying hard. The idea behind this programme is for young people to better understanding themselves, so that via lectures and experiential activities, each participant will be able to better understand themselves. ‘Develop Your Study Skills Footprints’ is a half-day workshop that covers Learning Styles, Effective Note Taking, Study Skills Habits, Mind Mapping and Facts Memorization Techniques.

Instil Your Good Habits Footprints

Good Habits are for Life.

The importance of good habits needs little elaboration. Many young people do not cultivate good habits when their minds are still largely mouldable. With a fuller understanding on the elements of habits, young people will become fully informed whether to choose & stick to a particular habit or not.  Therefore the cultivation of good habits will enable each participant to have a head start in his or her life. Experiential activities are incorporated for participants to understand the different concepts of Personal Management, Self Discipline, Time Prioritization,  Vision Setting and Self Renewal.

Grow Your Personal Responsibilities Footprints

Let It Grow.

The importance of growing personal responsibilities needs little elaboration. Many young people do not understand the gravity of not mastering the techniques of life skills. With a fuller understanding on the branches of personal responsibilities, young people can have a choice how they want their life to be. Experiential activities are incorporated for participants to understand the different concepts of Interview Skills, Managing Change, Cyber Wellness, Social Interactions and Family Wellness.

Enhance Your Communication Footprints

Communicate Like Obama.

The importance of communication needs little elaboration. Many young people are not given adequate opportunities to communicate their thoughts, via the spoken word in public setting. Without a fuller understanding on the do’s’ and ‘don’ts of communication, young people may not be fully aware that there are guiding principles in communication.  Therefore the knowledge & practice on the elements of communication will enable participants better understand themselves and communicate with the world around them. Experiential activities are incorporated for participants to understand the different concepts of Speaking Confidently, Effective Presentation, Body Language, Listening Skills and Thinking Creatively.

Serve Your Country Footprints

Love Our Singapore.

The importance of serving one’s country needs little elaboration. Some young people are cynical about the concepts of loving and serving one’s country. With the focus targeted at their immediate academic demands, many times, young people just have superficial understanding of what ‘loving one’s country’ means.  Therefore via lectures and experiential field activities, each participant will be able to better understand the concepts of Military Breastplate, Civil Shield, Economic Belt, Social Sandals and Psychological Helmet.

Appreciate Your Friends’ Belief Footprints

Appreciate Your Friend’s Culture, Religion & Traditions.

The importance of appreciating about another friend’s culture, religion and traditions needs little elaboration. Other than superficial understanding, many young people in our public school contexts seldom have authentic opportunities to appreciate their neighbours’ culture, religion and traditions. With a deeper understanding on each other’s beliefs, young people will be able to appreciate each other’s difference in a mutually respectful manner. Experiential activities are incorporated for participants to understand the different religions of Islam, Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism and other beliefs practiced of Singaporeans.

Live Your Passion Footprints

From The Inside Out.

Establish Your Leadership Footprints

Unleash the Leader in You.

The importance of leadership needs no further elaboration. Many young people are not given adequate opportunities to exercise leadership in their immediate environment. Without a fuller understanding on the concepts of leadership, young people may not be fully aware of the circumstances they face daily and possibly missed out on the opportunities for would-be courses of action. Therefore the knowledge on the precepts of leaderships, being systematically imparted will be useful in helping participants better understand themselves and the world around them. Experiential activities are incorporated for participants to understand the different concepts of Personal Leadership, Servant Leadership, Interpersonal Leadership, Empathic Leadership and Creative Leadership.

Improve Your Financial Literacy Footprints

We can save – So can you.

The importance of Financial Planning programmes has always been neglected. Many young people are not adequately exposed to financial planning concepts such as savings. Without financial literacy and the knowledge on how money works, young people may potentially spend more for leisure, such as movies, dining out with friends at fast-food outlets and cafes etc. Therefore the knowledge on the importance of savings for their future has not been systematically imparted to them by institutions or family members. In this proposal, Life Champs’ Financial Literacy programme will help participants to adopt a basic Financial Planning view on the importance of financial planning, financial goals setting, cultivating saving habits, cash-flow management, spending discipline, as well as growing money. Experiential activities are incorporated for participants to understand the different concepts of Below Your Means, Within Your Means, Over Your Means, and Excessively-Over Your Means.

Cultivate Your Holistic Life Footprint

Becoming a Holistic Person.

The importance of becoming a holistic person needs little elaboration. Many young people are not exposed to the areas of music, dance, drama, sports or even arts. With the focus on academic demands, many times, young people just adopted a ‘good to have’ but ‘need not necessary to have’ attitude towards these areas. Therefore via systematic lessons, each participant will be able to better appreciate these via our specially fused programmes that blend music, dance, sports with life skills, emphasising on SEL & Service Learning such as Drumsdership, Tchoukballracter, JazzFidence, Learn A Skill For A Cause, KongFuTivation and MediaProvement.
