Programme For Active Learning (Film & Video)

Creative Digi-Capture

Students will be introduced to the exciting world of still photography, where it is no longer about merely using a camera to take pictures but more to creatively capture moments with proper techniques, with a strong emphasis on visual language and storytelling.

Creative Digi-Composition

This programme allows students to capture moving images with a video camera, using basic knowledge of shots, angles, framing and composition to tell visual stories. Students will be trained to use the video camera as an artist’s tool for self-expression, similar to what a paintbrush is to a painter.

Creative Digi-Ensemble

Students will be introduced to the magic of video editing, where footage is trimmed and put together to tell a story. Elements like pacing, transition, sound effects, graphics and titles will be taught in order for students to deliver a short video clip ready for audience’s viewing.

Creative Digi-Billboard

Students will learn how to produce a TV commercial below 1 minute using video. They will be trained to think out of the box and make creative choices to produce original TV commercials that leave a lasting impression with the viewers. Students will be closely guided from conceptualization right up to post-production.

Creative Digi-Reality

This programme gives the students opportunity to produce their own documentaries or reality shows. They will be taught to think on their feet and be spontaneous to various possible situations, where interview and hosting skills will be emphasized. They will also be trained to do research and find an angle to explore various social and cultural issues in their projects.

Creative Digi-Cinema

Students will learn how to create mini movies with a narrative structure, where they will come up with their own original stories and scripts. They will also be trained on various techniques of shooting a movie and editing the footage during production and post-production, with a strong emphasis on visual storytelling.
