1. Pixel-Warhol (Digital Pop Art)

Pop art is often used in advertising, where product labels and logos are prominently displayed in the imagery chosen by pop artists such as Andy Warhol. This programme will guide students in appreciating the abstract expressionism of Pop Art & knowing the characteristics & techniques of this art movement. Students will learn how to apply elements of art and principles of design to their digital artwork.


2. Pixel-Van Gogh (Digital Impressionism)

In this programme, students will immerse themselves in the 19th century art movement and step into the artistic galleria of impressionism. Students will be taught to understand characteristics of Impressionist paintings such as brush strokes, open composition, emphasis on light, ordinary subject matter, and inclusion of movement as a crucial element of human perception and experience. Students will also learn how to apply elements of art and principles of design to their digital artwork.


3. Pixel-Munch (Digital Expressionism)

Expressionism, initially in poetry and painting, presents to audience from a subjective perspective, often distorting the artwork violently to obtain an emotional effect, vividly transmitting personal moods and ideas. Students will learn to express the meaning of “being alive” and emotional experience rather than physical reality. Students will learn how to apply elements of art and principles of design to their digital expressionism artwork.


4. Pixel-Piccaso (Digital Cubism)

Cubism was a 20th century avant-garde art movement pioneered by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque that revolutionized European painting and sculpture, and inspired related movements in music and literature. In this programme, students will be taught various types of cubism & its characteristics. Students will also understand the artistic angle of cubism where objects are analysed, broken up in pieces and re-assembled back in an abstract form. Students will learn how to apply elements of art and principles of design to their digital artwork.


5. Pixel-Waxen (Digital Batik Painting)

Batik, also known as wax resist dyeing technique in fabric, is an ancient art form. In this programme, students will be able to identify and create the various art strokes, colour schemes and visual styles pertaining to Batik, while using modern platform software brush application to create an artwork that blends both old and new styles. Students will also learn how to apply elements of art and principles of design to their digital artwork.


6. Pixel-Dali (Digital Surrealism)

Surrealism is a cultural movement that began in the 1920s when the unique works featured the element of surprise. Surrealist artists and writers regard their work as an expression of the philosophical movement. This particular art movement has spread across the globe & influenced visual arts, literature, film and music in many ways. Students will study the unique surrealism art movement & revolutionize their art knowledge, also to allow the students to express their works in a subconscious & imaginative way.
