This programme provides students with the freestyle of composing soundtracks for motion pictures. With the latest music editor, they can make use of audio loops & digital music instruments to stir the atmosphere of the motion clips. Students can also play a part in creating the aesthetic & mood of the thematic music.

Live Mix(Music using Sounds of Nature)

This programme trains students to have a good listening ear to nature’s sounds & even noises. They will then generate ideas to put all these sounds in a mix to produce a piece of music composition. Students will go around places to record these sounds in a recording device and with advanced music mixers & editors, they will create their original music piece with the sounds they have recorded earlier. Students will learn basic audio engineering skills & terminologies to widen their knowledge of understanding sound & music.

Making the Band (Music using MIDIs)

The use of MIDI (Music Instrument Digital Interface) allows computers, keyboards & electronic synthesizers to interact with one another to transmit messages from computers, eventually becoming digital data like pitch and intensity of musical notes. Be it a 2-piece duo band or a 5-piece rock band, this programme will inspire students to compose music from genres of pop, rock, jazz, country to even gospel. The objective of this programme is to expose to students with the use of technology & protocols to create digital music with music software, allowing them to understand that music can be recorded as data, rather than audio waveforms. Students will learn basic music arrangements & theory, understanding the various instruments needed for different musical ensemble.
