Students will illustrate their own original cartoon character with 3D modelling software. In this programme, students are to conceptualise and draw rough “idea” sketches, giving the type and nature of the character they wish to create. Students will also develop the basic shape of the figure and add the features with other details. Towards the end of the programme, students will produce a 3D lifelike model with textured skin.
Interior design is a profession evolved from interior decoration, which involves a multitude of technical, analytical, creative skills and architectural elements. The objective of the programme is to allow the students to unleash their creativity in furnishing the space with innovative items & fanciful furniture. Students will also learn basic coursework like perspective drawing, spatial planning, colour & fabrics, furniture design and ethnic themes.
Product design deal with the efficient and effective generation and development of ideas through a process that leads to new products. Students will conceptualise & evaluate innovative ideas, combine art & technology to create tangible 3D products. Prior to that, students can get to design new products ranging from furniture, electronics, toys and everyday appliances in 3D modelling software.
Sculpture is three-dimensional artwork created by shaping or combining hard materials, typically stone such as marble, metal, glass and wood, or plastic materials such as clay, textiles, polymers and softer metals. In this programme, students will be exposed to various forms of sculptures all around the world and dwell into different cultures & traditions from various countries. Students will learn how to apply elements of art and principles of design to conceptualise their own sculpture design on sketches & build it in 3D modelling software.
Kinetic is an art that has movement or parts that are set in motion, often merged with other types of art such as performance art and mixed media. The programme allows students to explore & experiment the art of balance and motion through oscillation, rotary, centre-of-gravity, weight & levitation. The conceptualised hanging art sculptures will be digitalise and re-modelled in 3D software and students can apply aesthetic colours to enhance the appearances of the kinetic art sculptures.
