All Puppets

Traditionally, puppets are prepared with movable parts using strings or sticks. This programme allows students to freely create puppets using recyclabes as well as manufactured materiaks. Students wll be engaged to three categories of puppet making techniques namely basic hand puppets, finger puppets and stick puppets. From these varied puppets, students are encouraged to create many oher unique kinds of puppets from their imaginations.


Clay Art (NAC-Approved)

Clay Art is the creation of a sculpture or decorative art work. Through the use of paper clay, it can model the appearance of ceramic finishing, This programme also allows students to experience new types of rapdi drying clay such as jumping clay which is suitable for shapes and forms art pieces. The end product can include fridge magnets, candle holders, tile designs, 3 dimensional figurines and many more.


Foil Craft

Foil metal is a product from solid metal that has been reduced to a lead like thinness by mechanical beating or rolling, Today metal foils such as aluminium and cooper  are the preferred mediums for creative art pieces for display and decorative purposes. In this project-based programme, students will learn the art of using foils for 2-dimension and 3-dimension art.


Fold to Shape

Origami or paper folding is the best known of all paper crafts and it also doubles ip as an educational aid. It is an art, science and recreational form of art appreciation. This programme is made easy for students to under stand better about paper, grain and creasing. They will be taught with a wide range of origami vocabulary and folding techniques as well as functionality in origami designs.


Fun with Paper Art!

Paper is more than just an art material. It is an art form. This programme includes activities using recyclables and manufactured paper-based materials such as paper rolls, paper-towels, paper bags, paper plates, packaging materials and cardboard. Students are to apply elemets and principles of art and design in their creative approach using paper in art activities. They are encouraged to explore, experiement and enjoy the world of paper art!


Jumping Clay

Jumping clay is a non-toxic, harmless, water-dissolving, coloured filler and safe for all ages. It can be used as a hobby craft modelling and to create anything to anyone desires. This programme allows students to explore clay art techniques to form basic shapes, such as a ball, teardrop, cylinder and twisted line as well as creating desired colours by applying kneading and wedging techniques.


Leatherwork

This programme offers many different types of leather art making processes which includes an excellent opportunity to design and make bags, wallets, diaries, purses, bekts and caps to showcase art pieces from skilled leather craft trainers. Students will learn the basics of leather work from designing to artistic crafting. This will include working with basic tools and applyng leather craft skills such as cutting, stamping, braiding, sculpting, sewing, carving, weaving, painting and many more.


Metal Metier

Metal tooling is the process of creating embossed designs onto think sheet metal. This programme allows students to create a copper relief art piece by using step-by-step copper tooling techniques such as drawing, embossing, stamping, denting, piercing, rub-transferring, folding and hammering. Students will also learn how to use different colouring medium and painting techniques to enhance their works.


Paper Cut

Paper cutting is a unique art form and has exitsed for thousand of years in China. Paper cutting is considered the making of a design out of paper using small scissors or a knife. These designs can be symmetrical or asymmetrical and are always decorative and sometimes even functional. This programme encompasses many aspects of paper cutting procedures such as from sketching an idea to folding, cutting and using intricate multi latering technique.


Paper-Mache

Paper-mache is a French term meaning “mashed paper”. Its versatility and straightforward method makes it an ideal medium for an artist’s means of expression. From initial sketches to 3-D finisging, students will be taught two paper-mache techniques such as layering and pulping as well as using a mixture of processes for their works.


Pebble Pact

This programme introduces the ancient art of pebbles mosaic using small pebbles of many natural colours. Students will create conventional 2-dimensional mosaic design for walls, table tops, etc. They will learn to create 3-dimensional decorative designs such as wall mirrors, photo frames, vases and many more. Upon completion, they will discover and appreciate the art of traditional and modern techniques of mosaic applying dynamic and geometric patterns, forms and shapes to their works.


Pop-Ups

Pop-ups were first used in children’s books during the latter half of the nineteenth century. Todaym this form of paper craft is applied in many innovative pop-up books and greeting cards. This programme engages students through a step-by-step design and construction using basic techniques for incised pop-ups and multi-piece pop-ups.


Stand-Up Mask

This programme engages students in the joy of creating, exploring with materials and discovering how things look and work as part of the creative process. Students are to develop stand-up masks of their favorite or an imaginative character using a variety of shapes and forms through discovering their own styles of expression.


Tape Make It!

This is a new style of non-destructove graffiti art that is innovative and fascinating. Masking tape art is so impressive because it can be made on a large scale and totally freehand. Students will learn 3 basic principles of tape art specifically using appropriate space, a mixture of coloured tapes and creativity.


Tile by Tile

Mosaic art comprises of bits of fragmented tiles arranged into colourful images or designs using coloured stone, glass mosaic, smalti, ceramic tiles and other materials. This programme exposes students to working with 2 types of mosaic methods and to understand the proper use of tools and materials. Students will appky general procedures of mosaic making such as drawing, cutting, arranging, gluing, drying and grouting.


Wire in Motion

Through this programme, students will experience the art of scuplting with fine galvanised and aluminium wire. They will learn how to use basic wire sculpting techniques and application methjods when creating miniature 2-dimensional and life-size 3-dimensional forms and shapes. Students will also be taught to create these forms and shapes using modular methods.
