Teaching Assistant

Requirements:

• At least 3 ‘O’ Levels
• Possess some working experience in clerical / administration
• Preferably with 1 year teacher-aide experience in school
• Conversant in MS Office applications
• Able to work independently with clear instructions and with minimum supervision
• Extrovert, enthusiastic, motivating and love children
• Above all the ability to have fun with kids is most important
• Must be able to commit contract
• Only Singaporean or PR need to apply

Job:

• Supervise the class when teacher is on medical leave/ annual leave
• Help to maintain discipline in class
• Assist in group work activities
• Assist in coaching students with special needs or weaker pupils
• Assist in setting up equipment (OHP, slide/film projector, etc)
• Assist in the laboratories, workshops, home economics rooms, art-and-crafts room and other special rooms in the school.
• Assist in the library: purchasing, cataloguing, loaning of books, stock-taking, checking inventories, condemning old books, etc
• Organise tours/excursions
• Conduct post-examination activities, excursions, tours
• Assist in typing/printing test/examination papers, work sheets, notes, etc
• Look after school dance/music/drama groups, choir, brass/military band
• Look after members of school uniformed groups
• Take charge of equipment and, uniforms
• Assist in running school clubs and societies
• Coach/train and look after school athletes, members of various sports/games teams

• There will be an option to extent the contract subject to school’s review of performance.
• Salary between $1000 and $1200 depending on experiences for 1st year
